How a Charter School serving Emirati girls used Lumii as its student wellbeing platform — early identification, reduced counsellor workload, and inspection-ready wellbeing evidence in an ADEK-regulated setting.
About the school
The Charter School, located in Abu Dhabi, is part of a group of Charter Schools serving Emirati girls. Its ethos centres on nurturing the whole child and fostering a strong sense of belonging. As part of a broader commitment to wellbeing, the school piloted Lumii to give every pupil a daily, culturally grounded space to be heard.
Why Lumii
With ADEK's wellbeing expectations rising — a mandatory annual wellbeing survey and inspection Standards 2 and 5 — the Head of Wellbeing needed a proactive, culturally appropriate wellbeing tool for the school.

Lumii's multilingual capability — including the UAE Islamic version — gave pupils an inclusive wellbeing space aligned with cultural and local values around mental health support.
What happened
Around 100 pupils took part in the trial, with over four thousand conversations. Most checked in two to three times a week — mornings and after break the peak moments, pupils resetting emotionally before returning to class.
"For one girl, there was a challenge within her friendship group — but rather than referring her to our counsellors, we asked her to reflect and talk to Lumii. The issue naturally resolved. Lumii provides immediate reassurance, meaning our teachers and counsellors can continue to assist all students and triage cases appropriately."
