Lumii is powered by a proprietary Large Mental Health Model (LMHM) — a domain-specific AI trained on 40+ years of peer-reviewed mental health and safeguarding research. Not scraped from the open web. Not fine-tuned from a general-purpose chatbot like ChatGPT. Around it sit purpose-built translation, cultural (UAE International and Emirati) and accessibility models — all operating within a walled-garden environment. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out. Lumii is the first agentic AI safeguarding and wellbeing platform built for UAE schools.

Lumii gives pupils a daily, low-pressure space to share how they're feeling — through chat, check-ins, journal, story, quest, and creative formats. The platform reads each interaction in context, reasons about what it means, and makes a flagging decision — most stay in Green, recorded; Amber routes to moderators; Purple and Red trigger an immediate alert to authorised staff. Staff have a separate, private reflection space (Lumii.me+). Lumii decides what to flag. Schools decide what to do about it — every flag is reviewed by the school's wellbeing or safeguarding team before any action is taken. The pupil-facing chat, reasoning, alerts and routing are all powered by Lumii's proprietary Large Mental Health Model (LMHM), in a walled-garden environment.

Lumii identifies patterns and assigns an alert level — Green, Amber, Purple, or Red. Every Amber, Purple, and Red alert is reviewed by the school's wellbeing and safeguarding team before any action is taken. Lumii itself does not contact pupils, parents, or external agencies. Purple and Red alerts are mandatory safeguarding requirements, not recommendations.

Pupils access Lumii using an individual unique code issued by the school. There are no accounts, no passwords, no QR codes, no personal identifiers required. The school holds the link between a code and a named pupil. Lumii does not. There is no audio, no camera, and no AI training on student data. All data is hosted in the UAE.

Setup takes 1 hour. No accounts, no passwords, no IT infrastructure changes required. Schools are supported throughout setup, training, and rollout.

No. Lumii is explicitly not a counselling replacement, not a therapy app, not a diagnostic tool, and not a crisis response tool. It is the insight layer that supports — never replaces — the trained adults already responsible for pupil wellbeing in your school.

Pupil conversations are private to the pupil. School staff see alert-level information and aggregated trends — not the conversation content itself, except in safeguarding cases where the school's safeguarding policy requires review. Parents are involved in line with the school's existing safeguarding and wellbeing policies.

Yes. Lumii's translation layer supports Arabic and English natively, with over 30 additional languages available — and the LMHM reasons in the language the child chose, not translated around English. There is also a UAE Islamic version, with content aligned to Islamic cultural values and the local educational context — used by schools where this matters to families and to the school's own ethos.

Lumii Core is licensed annually in AED and scales by cohort size — the larger the cohort, the lower the per-pupil monthly cost. Nothing structural. No infrastructure changes, no integration with the school MIS, no software to install. Lumii is browser-based, works on BYOD or school-issued devices, and is configured within 1 hour of receiving the school's headcount and authorised staff list. All data is hosted in the UAE.
